RESOLUTION

RS2026-2305

Resolution Nov 5

This resolution kicks off the process for Nashville to borrow up to $544,720,000 through general obligation bonds to fund the Mayor's proposed capital spending plan. About $418 million would go toward general government projects and roughly $107 million to Metro Nashville Public Schools, covering things like road and infrastructure improvements, parks, fire and law enforcement facilities, school buildings, and a new Juvenile Justice Center. It also allows the city to tap its short-term commercial paper program to start construction before the long-term bonds are formally issued and sold.
