Clay Capp is a member of the Nashville Metro Council representing District 6 in East Nashville, serving since September 1, 2023. A former public defender who graduated from Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania Law School, he previously worked as Legal Director for the Tennessee Justice Center and with the Metro Nashville Public Defender's Office. He serves on the Arts, Parks, Libraries, and Entertainment Committee, Planning and Zoning Committee, chairs the Charter Revision Committee, and is a member of the Ad Hoc East Bank Committee and Greenway and Open Space Commission.
